 Richard “Rick” Cannon, President
Rick is the third generation of the Cannon family in the mechanical trade, and he’s lived in Yarmouth all his life. He graduated from Barnstable High School and attended Cape Cod Community College. Rick is proud to continue his family’s heritage of outstanding service to the Cape Cod and the Islands, and he’s renewing that contribution through Canco’s present focus on fire sprinkler systems.
An active member of the Yarmouth Rotary club, Rick enjoys giving back to the town of Yarmouth and the mid-Cape community, but from time to time, he also likes to venture across the high seas. He’s traveled all over the United States and everywhere from Europe to Africa to Asia, but the Cape always draws him back. “Cape Cod has changed from being a quiet summer resort,” says Rick, but he’s quick to point out that “you can still have access to beautiful water ports just by walking down the street, and you can still throw a fishing line over a bridge and catch a fish.” For Rick, Cape Cod remains a unique place -- and it’s “still home sweet home!” |

 Paul Cuddy, Certified Fire Inspector
Paul came to Canco Fire Sprinklers from the Quincy Fire Department, where he was the Deputy Chief in charge of the Quincy Fire Prevention Bureau. His career as a fire fighter gives him a unique perspective on fire sprinklers systems. “Time and again, I saw how fire sprinklers saved lives and saved property,” he says. “and the fire sprinkler installers at Canco are among the most qualified people I’ve ever worked with.” As Canco’s licensed fire sprinkler inspector, Paul himself is nationally certified through NICET, the National Institute for the Certification of Engineering Technicians.
Paul and his wife Marsha live in South Plymouth, and while he loves to golf in his free time, he’s enjoying his second career in fire prevention tremendously. “Fire sprinklers are my passion – they really do work and they really do save lives.

 Shari Johnson, Office Manager
Shari Johnson is usually the first voice you hear when you call Canco, and she handles most scheduling. While she runs our office on Route 28 in West Yarmouth, she’ll often pitch in to deliver a part to a job site, too. Shari has worked in the plumbing and heating industries for more than 20 years, and she’s been with Canco since 2002. “Everybody here is friendly and works well together,” she says. “It’s a comfortable atmosphere, and we feel like an extended family.”
Shari has an adult daughter, and she lives in Yarmouthport. She’s a tenth generation Cape Codder, and grew up in Marstons Mills. A self-described gym rat, she also loves to travel. She’s been to Germany, Ireland, Mexico and Bermuda, and she’s always ready to pack her bags for the next trip
