We started as the company with the brown and white trucks.

Rick Cannon’s grandfather, John D. Cannon founded A & B Canco on Cape Cod in 1930, when indoor plumbing and heating was just becoming fashionable. Our family-owned business was known for its distinctive fleet of brown and white trucks, and at one time we employed more than 70 people. After World War II, we operated the only appliance store on Cape Cod, selling popular Hotpoint electric appliances to summer and year-round homeowners. In addition to plumbing and heating services, the company provided septic systems installations and maintenance and also delivered oil heating fuel. From the beginning, A & B Canco led the way in installing and maintaining fire sprinkler systems, and we were Cape Cod’s original fire sprinkler services company. 

Now we're Canco Fire Sprinkler

Our company now operates under the name Canco Fire Sprinkler. At Canco we concentrate on providing the very best in commercial, industrial and residential fire sprinkler protection to the Cape Cod Area. This singular focus allows us to offer a full range of installation, maintenance, and certified testing services to Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket. And you’ll be glad to know that Canco has remained a family-owned business. With the help of his superior staff and crew, Rick Cannon manages the business, and we work out of the same mid-Cape premises we’ve occupied for many years. You can find us right on Route 28 in West Yarmouth.
